Rena Bannett

lives in Jerusalem, where she works as an artist and Hebrew translator, an English editor and language coach. She sculpts, paints, draws, collages and writes from her perspective as a scientist, Jewish scholar, nurturing and independent mother, life-partner and feminist, and most fundamentally, as a member of the human race. She seeks to abstract and express as much as possible with the least amount of stroke, line or detail, to evoke the intellectual and emotional resonance she feels about the subject she is portraying.
