Kalanit Shmuel is a 9th grade student at the Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy in Stamford, CN. She has been following her artistic passions since first grade. Inspired by the talent of her peers, Kalanit began to experiment with fine arts on her own. Through exploring a variety of materials, both independently and in school art courses, Kalanit discovered she most favored watercolor and ink. She finds satisfaction in creating the human form and is inspired by animators and illustrators. Kalanit hopes to learn more about the art of comics, as she works to create stories with her art, using art to communicate her thoughts and feelings.
